Research Assistant (RA) opportunities
Most semesters I look to hire a research assistant(s) to help progress my projects. As a part of RA opportunities for Bachelor's and Master's students I generally provide selected candidates with guidance on writing, statistical methods, and data analysis skills that are useful in both academic and non-academic contexts.
I expect my research assistants to demonstrate the following capabilities:
Proficiency with Stata to conduct data cleaning and statistical analysis
Proficiency with Python to conduct data cleaning, visualization and statistical analysis. Strong candidates can demonstrate meaningful experience using NumPy, Pandas, Scipy and Matplotlib libraries
Willingness and ability to work independently
Strong written and oral communication skills
If you believe that you have these qualifications and it's towards the beginning of an academic semester (Jan, May, Sep), feel free to reach out to see if I am currently hiring.
Past and Current Research Assistants
I've had the pleasure of working with many bright undergraduate and graduate level students at both UT Austin and Cornell.
